Teachers of The Year 

The Rotary Club of Snow Hill hosts an annual event to recognize the outstanding service of teachers from the five public schools in the Snow Hill area. 

The 2024 Snow Hill Rotary Teacher of the Year event will be held on April 17 at the Worcester County Technical High School, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 (plus ticket fee if purchased online). The event includes a buffet social hour followed by teacher recognition. The Rotary Club of Snow Hill will also announce the recipients of its college scholarships from the class of 2024 high school students at the banquet.

The honorees are those designated by the Maryland Teacher of the Year program for Snow Hill Elementary School, Snow Hill Middle School, Cedar Chapel Special School, Snow Hill High School, and Worcester County Technical High School. The selection process is conducted by the Maryland State Superintendent of Schools in collaboration with school systems across the state.

The Rotary Club of Snow Hill supports education by awarding scholarships to Snow Hill area graduates, recognizing outstanding teachers, donating books to libraries, and sponsoring peer leadership training for high school students.

The first event was held in 2009. No event was held in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
