What We Do
Rotarians work to protect communities from preventable disease, keep communities healthy, improve education and economic outcomes, create safe water and sanitation infrastructure, and make our community and the world a more peaceful place.
The Rotary Club of Snow Hill works locally with various partners on a variety of projects:
Awarding scholarships to Snow Hill area graduates;
Recognizing outstanding teachers with the annual Teacher of the Year banquet;
Donating books to schools and libraries;
Promoting biking while highlighting our natural and historic resources by co-sponsoring the Iron Furnace Fifty bike tour;
Sponsoring an Interact Club and peer leadership training for local high school;
Support low-income families with book bags, Christmas packages, and weekend snacks;
Supporting the Shelter Box program which provides shelter kits for areas struck by disaster around the globe;
Raising funds to end polio - a partnership between Rotary International, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Health Organization.
