(January 18, 2022) Claudia Nagle, Executive Director of Furnace Town attended the January 18 meeting of the Snow Hill Rotary Club via Zoom to provide an overview of plans for 2022. This will be a busy year with the historic site hosting numerous events including an Easter Egg hunt, the Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, the Renaissance Faire, and the Snow Hill High School Prom. All this in addition to Iron Furnace Fifty in partnership with Snow Hill Rotary in August.

Claudia also provided updates on repairs to Furnace Town facilities that were vandalized in September 2021. Over $100K damages were done by unknown perpetrators. A new security system has been installed and restoration is underway.
