(January 25, 2022) Dr. Cindy Byrd, Executive Director of the Julia A. Purnell Museum, attended the January 25 meeting of the Snow Hill Rotary Club and gave an update on how the Museum has been weathering the pandemic for the past two years. Through online video tours of the collections and social-distancing for in person activities the Museum has continued to serve the community through these difficult times.

Cindy highlighted the programs for children which are a central part of the Museum’s work. Rotary makes an annual contribution to the Purnell Museum covering the cost of admission for all children who visit.

Pictured here are Club President TJ Myers and Cindy Byrd. Dr. Byrd is a Club and Board member of Snow Hill Rotary and will begin her term as President in July of this year.
