Cathy Freeman, Backstreet Bikes

(October 12, 2021) Cathy Freeman attended the October 12 meeting of the Snow Hill Rotary Club and spoke about the Backstreet Bikes project. Backstreet Bikes is Snow Hill’s not-for-profit bicycle repair shop with a mission to repair, reuse, recycle, repair and rejuvenate bicycles. The organization sponsors a variety of educational programs ranging from bicycle repair to road safety. A young mechanics program focuses on involving students to improve their mechanical skills and engage in exercise.
