Rotary Grant Awarded to Snow Hill Food Pantry

Summer 2013

In the Summer of 2013, Rotary awarded a grant to the Snow Hill Food Pantry (Ebenezer Hunger Action) for upgrades to their paperwork, reporting and printing systems, as well as to add new freezer capacity. This was a joint grant between the Rotary Clubs of Snow Hill and Ocean City-Berlin, and is supported by a significant grant from Rotary District 7630 (Delmarva region).

Pictured here, volunteers Mary Green and Pat Arata review the new computer system.

The hardware was purchased and installed in the Fall of 2013. New databases and computerized processes were developed and implemented during the Winter and Spring of 2014. Paperless reporting systems are now in place to communicate electronically with the Maryland Food Bank and the USDA food assistance programs.

For more information on this investment in our local community, please contact any member of the Snow Hill or Ocean City-Berlin Rotary Clubs.
