(April 8, 2025) The Snow Hill High School Interact Club was honored at a meeting of the Snow Hill, Md., Town Council on April 8. Mayor Janet Simpson announced that the club had been chosen for the Citizens Spotlight recognition for April 2025.
SHHS Interact meets each month to plan projects for the good of the community. Service activities planned by the members have benefited a wide range of local organizations including the Snow Hill Food Pantry, the Delmarva Blood Bank, Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum, and the Worcester County Senior Center.
SHHS Interact also sends delegates to the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards - a three-day conference designed to promote the visioning, planning and execution of projects.
Mayor Simpson called upon the community recognize “the generous and unselfish service provided to us by this remarkable team of young people.”
The Rotary Club of Snow Hill has been a sponsor of the Snow Hill High School Interact Club for many years.
