(June 15, 2025) The Worcester County NAACP hosted an event on June 15 paying tribute to the legacy of African American athletes in the Negro Baseball Leagues, including Snow Hill born Hall of Famer, William “Judy” Johnson. This took place at Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, Md., during a Delmarva Shorebirds baseball game.
The Rotary Club of Snow Hill is an ongoing supporter of this and other events that celebrate Judy Johnson’s legacy. Worcester County NAACP President Ivory Smith attended the May 27 meeting of the Club to present a plaque in recognition of this ongoing partnership between the two organizations.
