(September 15, 2026) On September 15, Rotary District 7630 Foundation Chair Hugh Dawkins visited the Rotary Club of Snow Hill. The Rotary Foundation is the 501(c)3 arm of Rotary. Donations to the Foundation are invested for three years to cover organizational expenses. After that period, most of the funds are returned to local Clubs through District grants.
Dawkins also answered questions about PolioPlus which was launched by Rotary International in 1985. This project remains the organization’s signature humanitarian initiative. Members continue to raise funds, advocate for immunization, and volunteer in support of the global effort to eradicate this disease once and for all. Until polio is eliminated everywhere, children everywhere remain at risk.
