Iron Furnace Fifty 2022

The 12th Annual Iron Furnace Fifty fun bicycle ride was held on Saturday, August 27^th, 2022. Over 400 people registered for the ride this year. That is a record number.

This is a joint project between the Rotary Club of Snow Hill (Md.) and the Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum that attracts hundreds of bicyclists from around the region each year.

The Iron Furnace Fifty has 50K, 50 Mile, and 100K routes that go through the beautiful rural Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. Dozens of Rotary and Furnace Town volunteers worked the rest stops along the road, set up the grounds for the picnic style lunch, and served as ambassadors for our local community.

Not only is the Iron Furnace Fifty a fun ride for the whole family, but all proceeds benefit Furnace Town Historic Site and the Snow Hill Rotary Club. It's a great way to get out in nature, breathe lots of fresh air, and have fun while supporting two local nonprofit organizations.
