Furnace Town Shed Dedication

(November 3, 2022) Through funding from both the Rotary Clubs of Snow Hill and Wicomico County, as well as a District 7630 Rotary Foundation Grant, Furnace Town Historic Site in Snow Hill has received a new storage shed as well as 15 event tables and 100 event chairs.

Furnace Town serves the community of the Lower Shore by providing a variety of educational and recreational opportunities and events at this unique historic facility. The shed will be used to store some of the site’s artifacts as well as event supplies. The new tables and chairs will increase Furnace Town’s ability to hold fundraising events (such as the Iron Furnace Fifty Bike Ride held annually in conjunction with the Snow Hill Club) which are critical to supporting the ongoing mission of the historical site.
