2022 Snow Hill Rotary Scholarships

(May 25, 2022) The Rotary Club of Snow Hill announced Lillee Covington and MiAsia Timmons (pictured here with Club President T.J. Myers) as 2022 scholarship recipients at the Snow Hill High School Graduate Awards ceremony of May 25.

Lillee Covington is the recipient of the Snow Hill Rotary Club’s Laurel Anderson Nursing Scholarship. Lillee plans to attend St. Mary’s College of Maryland this fall where she will not only pursue her academic interests, but also hopes to play collegiate soccer. The scholarship is named in honor of longtime Club member and nurse, Laurel Anderson.

MiAsia Timmons is the recipient of the Snow Hill Rotary Club’s Larry Knudsen Service Scholarship. MiAsia is an honor roll student who has served her school as a leader and a role model in the Majorette program, the Freshman Focus program, and the Interact Club. In college MiAsia plans to major in Journalism and Communications. Larry Knudsen was a member and past president of the Snow Hill Rotary Club who is fondly remembered as an advocate for children and a proponent of community service.
