World’s Greatest Meal to Help End Polio

John Nanni
On October 15 the Snow Hill Rotary Club observed the annual event known as the “World’s Greatest Meal to Help End Polio”.

The idea for the event originated in 2014 with Rotarian and polio eradication advocate Susanne Rea of Queensland, Australia. Since then, through fundraising meals, big and small, Rotarians have raised millions of dollars for the campaign to eradicate polio, once and for all.

Our guest speaker for this event was John Nanni, USA Coordinator for the Greatest Meal Project and President of the Rotary Club of Middletown/Odessa, Delaware. His presentation underscored the importance of continuing the efforts to eradicate polio in the few remaining countries that have not yet been declared polio free.

The Snow Hill event was well attended with donations for the breakfast buffet and bids for a variety of auction items raising much needed funds for the cause.
