Protecting Pollinators on the Lower Shore Kate
Patton and Jared Parks of the Lower Shore Land Trust gave a
presentation to the Snow Hill Rotary Club on January 28, 2020. The
organization has been working to engage the community in preserving
healthy wildlife habitat for 30 years and currently monitors over 21,000
acres in Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset Counties. Pictured here are Club President Gary King with Kate and Jared. Maintaining
water quality and planting to benefit native pollinators can be done by
owners of large and small properties alike. For more resources on how
to improve habitat for pollinators visit the Lower Shore Land Trust website. |
