Pollinator Hotel Project

Justin Hurney
What?  A hotel for insects? At the September 10 meeting of the Snow Hill Rotary Club, Eagle Scout candidate Justin Hurney gave a presentation on the pollinator hotel project that he recently completed. The "hotel" is located in Sturgis Park by the Pocomoke River in downtown Snow Hill. The structure gives much needed nesting space for native bees and butterflies.

Pictured here are representatives of the Rotary Club and the Lower Shore Land Trust, with Justin and his mother Diana Hurney at center.
